Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for Product Purchases and Returns

  • Minimum return quantity is 3 boxes.
  • No returns after 30 days from the date of purchase.
  • No returns for opened boxes.
  • No returns or cancellations for custom and special orders.
  • No returns or cancellations for ordered carpet.
  • Products arriving from the United States, including all Shaw and COREtec products, require a minimum return of 350 sq. ft., and shipping costs back to the U.S. apply.
  • A 25% restocking fee applies to returned hardwood, laminate, engineered, vinyl, and tile products. No exceptions.

All accessories, including but not limited to T-molding, reducers, stair nosing, baseboard, shoe molding, quarter rounds, stair boards, stair treads, and custom-made vent covers, are final sale. No returns or exchanges apply. Please purchase accordingly.

Extra product must be returned to the original place of pickup or supplier location, not to the Anderson Floors showroom.

Due to limited showroom space, Anderson Floors reserves the right to move or cancel materials that have not been picked up within 30 days. Materials may be transferred to an overflow warehouse or third-party storage until the order is cancelled or picked up.

In such cases, additional charges may apply, including but not limited to delivery fees to and from the storage location, warehousing insurance, and storage fees, which are usually charged monthly. For exact charges, please contact customer service or your sales representative.

All product warranties are provided by the flooring brand and/or manufacturer, not by Anderson Floors. Anderson Floors may help facilitate warranty claims but does not assume responsibility for the outcome.

Manufacturer warranties do not cover damage caused by acts of God, abuse, misuse, neglect, normal wear and tear, water damage or leaks, humidity or moisture issues, expansion and contraction, or subfloor problems.

Customers are responsible for maintaining indoor relative humidity between 35% and 50% to help minimize product expansion and contraction. Warranty coverage may be void if humidity levels fall outside this range.

A 48-hour acclimatization period is recommended before installing any hardwood, laminate, or engineered flooring product. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the product is acclimatized at the proper humidity level. Whether Anderson Floors is installing the product or not, acclimatization remains the customer’s responsibility.

The full balance for all product purchases must be paid prior to pickup, delivery, or installation.

Terms and Conditions for Installation Services

  • The full cost of product must be paid before the installation date.
  • A deposit equal to 50% of the installation price is required before installation.
  • A minimum of four business days’ notice is required to change or cancel a scheduled installation.
  • A lost-day charge of $249 applies if the customer cancels or changes the installation with less than four business days’ notice.
  • Anderson Floors provides a 1-year installation warranty only for installations it has invoiced and completed, effective from the date of completion.

The installation warranty applies only to imperfections, defects, or faults caused by installation work. It does not cover damage or issues caused by acts of God, abuse, misuse, neglect, normal wear and tear, water damage or leaks, humidity or moisture issues, expansion and contraction, subfloor problems, or floor squeaks.

While installers will do their best, the removal of squeaks can never be guaranteed.

Painting and caulking of baseboards, casings, trims, and similar finishing items must be arranged by the homeowner after installation and are not the responsibility of the flooring installer.

Scraps, packaging, and debris will be placed in an area on site designated by the customer unless a disposal option has been selected.

Customers must clear the proposed work area of obstructions before the installer arrives on site.

Installers will only move dishwashers, toilets, and vanities after a plumber has disconnected all plumbing connections.

Please allow an additional day, plus or minus, to any given installation schedule.

Unexpected conditions are common in construction. If unforeseen circumstances arise, Anderson Floors will notify the customer of any resulting cost changes. The customer may choose whether to proceed. If the customer declines and Anderson Floors cannot continue, the contract may be terminated.

A lost-day charge of $249 applies if the customer does not agree to continue and the contract is terminated. No exceptions.

If Anderson Floors installers are required to move furniture as part of the contract, they will not remove clothing, china, hardware, antiques, pianos, pool tables, electronics, or small personal items. They also do not assemble or disassemble furniture. Furniture must be emptied before installers can move it.

The customer must be available at the end of the installation process to inspect the premises and settle any remaining balance.

The installation balance is due immediately upon completion. No exceptions apply.

Payment must be given to the installer or project manager at completion. Failure to pay may result in removal of the installed flooring and/or communication with the authorities.

Anderson Floors, its installers, or labourers may have a claim against the customer for failure to pay for materials supplied or services performed and may enforce this claim by filing a lien against the customer’s property.

Terms and Conditions for Shipping and Delivery Services

Anderson Floors does not directly deliver products. Delivery services are subcontracted to a third-party delivery company, and Anderson Floors acts only as an intermediary between the customer and that company.

Delivery is offered as a convenience to the customer. Anderson Floors is not responsible for delays or complaints related to delivery.

Please note that delivery appointments and exact delivery times are not provided. Arrival times depend on many factors outside the control of the delivery company, including traffic, the number of pickup stops before your order, staffing levels at manufacturers’ warehouses, and similar operational conditions.

The third-party delivery company offers two types of service: Curb-Side Delivery and Delivery With Offloading.

Curb-Side Delivery means the product will be dropped off at the curb, driveway, or garage, provided there is no obstruction to wheel passage. Neither Anderson Floors nor the delivery company is responsible for damage occurring after curb-side delivery. This is the default delivery service for all shipping options described on the website.

Delivery With Offloading means the product will be brought only to the main floor of the home. It does not include basement delivery, second-floor delivery, side entrances, or any entrance other than the front door. Additional charges apply. Please contact us for a custom quote.
